Venice City Tour
Guided Sightseeing Tour of Venice
It a honor for me to guide you through the most unique and romantic city in the world.
What makes Venice so special? Many things. For instance, you cannot drive a car. The city is built on islands connected by bridges and if you do not want to walk you can only take a boat and ride around on the canals.
The city is very rich of artworks and it often looks like a movie set. You need at least several days to see it all. On this tour we will show you the highlights of Venice. The guide will give you some precious suggestions as well on what to do, whee to eat and how ti spend your free time in general.
We will visit the Rialto market located in the heart of the city. It is one of the oldest fish, fruits and vegetable markets still functioning in the world. It is very colorful and pictoresque and you will see many locals buying their daily food there.
We will cross the Rialto bridge and reach Saint Mark's square, surrounded by the Cathedral of San Marco, the belltower and the Doges' palace. This was the religious and political center of the city.
Our tour will continue to Campo San Giovanni and Paolo, the Jewish Ghetto and Marco Polo's house.
We can visit all of that in half a day, morning or afternoon depending on your time schedule. If you can spend more time we can extend the tour to a full day so we will be able to see also Titian's tomb and the spectacular church of Santa Maria dei Frari, the Accademia Bridge, the Opera House and Campo Santo Stefano.
We can customize this tour to your expectations and needs and we can visit other sites and monuments upon request.
During the tour we can make time for tasting an authentic tiramisu, this worldwide famous cake was invented in Venice, and other local specialties if you wish.
