Full Description
Located in the center of Rome along via del Corso this beautiful Renaissance palace was a residence of the aristocratic Roman family who still inhabit the apartments and take care of the gallery and its collection.
Led by our professional guide you will take a journey through history and art and explore the sumptuous halls of the gallery with original furniture, finest frescoes, and precious tapestries that date back to the 15th century. The collection of the museum is huge and displays some of the greatest masterpieces of Renaissance and Baroque art, including the portrait of Pope Innocent X by Velásquez and many other precious artworks by famous masters such as Raphael, Titian, Brueghel, and Caravaggio. Worthy of special mention is the breathtaking Gallery of Mirrors, designed by Gabriele Valvassori who was inspired by the famous Hall of Mirrors at Versailles.
During this private tour, you will discover the highlights of the collection, learn about their artistic importance, and have enough time to delve into the stories behind the palace and its noble residents.
