Highlights of Venice Half-Day Private Tour

ITINERARY :

This is the itinerary of the standard 3 hours tour, but if you wish we can customize it to make it longer or shorter!

• HOUR 1

  We will start our tour with a pleasant stroll through the authentic neighborhoods of the city. You will see tiny back streets and bustling squares where Venetians meet up with friends and enjoy their own time. After a short walk we will reach the historic Rialto market, which for centuries has been an important trading venue of the city, famous especially for selling fish. Surrounded by the colours and flavours of the market stalls full of fresh products, you will see how locals do their shopping and learn about Venetian food culture.

• HOUR 2

  We will then cross the Rialto bridge and reach the San Marco square, the most famous and recognizable site of the city, which was the religious and political center of Venice in the past. Here you will see some very important landmarks such as Cathedral of San Marco, the bell-tower and the Doges' palace. Your guide will provide you a detailed account about Venetian history and architecture and entertain you with fun stories and anecdotes that you will not find in travel brochures.

• HOUR 3

  Our tour will continue with another historic part of the city, strolling across lovely bridges and ancient squares saturated with art and history we will see Campo San Giovanni and Paolo, the Jewish Ghetto, the Marco Polo's house, the Church of San Zulian, the Church of Miracles and many other ancient treasures that Venice has to offer.
