Our day in Florence will start with a relaxing walk though the city centre. You will discover the picturesque medieval streets, authentic markets, charming bridges and bustling squares with Renaissance basilicas and palaces. During your first stop you will have the opportunity to see the impressive Palazzo Strozzi and its perfectly preserved courtyard, then your tour guide will take you to Palazzo Davanzati, a perfect example of Medieval Palace away from the beaten track.
After a walk through the Porcellino (little pig) market, you will reach the Ponte Vecchio, the most ancient bridge in Florence, famous particular for its Vasari corridor.
After a short walk through the narrow streets you will see the heart of the city, the Duomo square, where you will be amused by the impressive Cathedral of Florence and its unique marble decorations. Up above, the Brunelleschi celebrated Dome, an architectural masterpiece and a symbol of both Florence and the Renaissance as a whole, with its unbelievable design, a construction challenge for that time.
Next, your guide will take to Piazza della Signoria, the political centre of Florence, with the Uffizi Art Gallery on the river side, a palace that once hosted the Grand Duke’s Offices, and Palazzo Vecchio on the other side, the historic seat of the Florentine government.
After lunch break our tour will proceed with a guided visit to one of the most conic and important museums in the world of art, Galleria Uffizi.
