Itinerary

• 1st Stop

  Colosseum

  Our tour starts from the Colosseum – the true symbol of Rome and the most famous amphitheater in the world. It was a place where the spectacular games and bloody battles of gladiators and exotic animals were held to entertain the Roman people. You will learn about this ancient monument, its history, traditions, and events, and also about the complex construction techniques invented by Romans. Our professional guide with an art and archaeology background will tell you little-known facts and fascinating stories about famous gladiators and their incredible abilities.

• 2nd Stop

  Roman Forum

  Next, we will discover the Roman Forum, one of the most significant archaeological areas in the world. In the past, it was the political and commercial center of the city and the bustling area with important temples, markets, and courthouses. You will dig deep into history and learn about ancient Roman daily life while walking through these impressive ruins, including the Temple of Julius Caesar, Arch of Titus, House of the Vestal Virgins, Senate House, and Basilica of Maxentius.

• 3rd Stop

  Piazza Venezia

  After visiting the Roman Forum, we will reach Piazza Venezia. Located at the base of Capitoline Hill, one of the seven hills of Rome, this large square houses some iconic landmarks, including the enormous monument called “Vittoriano” dedicated to Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of Italy. The monument is also known as “Altare della Patria” because it contains the altar of the unknown soldier. With your guide, you will discover the history of this area and climb up  Capitoline Hill to enjoy the amusing view of the city center.

  Trevi Fountain

  We then walk through the city center to explore its historic treasures. We will see the world-renowned Trevi Fountain, one of the most beautiful baroque monuments in the world, and enjoy its gorgeous monumental architecture. Don’t forget to throw the coin in the fountain, because, according to the city’s legend it will ensure your return to Rome.

• 5th Stop

  Pantheon

  Next, we will continue our sightseeing walk through the picturesque Roman streets where we will see the Renaissance Church of Santi Apostoli, Piazza Colonna with the marble Column of Marcus Aurelius, Piazza di Pietra with the ancient Roman Temple of Hadrian, a great masterpiece of Baroque art – the Church of Sant'Ignazio di Loyola and one of the symbols of Ancient Rome – the splendid Pantheon.

• 6th Stop

  Piazza Navona

  We will reach the stunning Piazza Navona, built atop Emperor Domitian’s ancient stadium. In the center of the square stands Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers

• 7th Stop

  Piazza di Spagna

  Admire the elegant Spanish Steps, nestled in the heart of the fashion district and surrounded by beautiful shops, including Bernini’s charming Barcaccia Fountain.

  Vatican Museums

  Experience skip-the-line access and explore Italy's most important museum's priceless art collection. Our guide will lead you through significant Greek and Roman art, the Pinacoteca, Raphael’s Rooms, the gallery of statues, the gallery of geographic maps, the gallery of tapestries, and more. Finally, you will witness the iconic Sistine Chapel adorned with Michelangelo’s incomparable frescoes.

• 9th Stop

  St. Peter's Square and Basilica

  Our full-day tour of Rome will finish at the St. Peter's square. We will visit the largest Catholic Church in the world and explore its main art treasures and architecture. Your guide will entertain you with interesting facts and curiosities about the previous Popes and the Basilica.
