• 1st Stop

  Capitoline Hill

  Meet your private guide at Campidoglio Square to begin your history-focused tour tracing the footsteps of Julius Caesar. At your first stop, you'll view one of Rome's seven hills and explore some of the city's significant historic buildings.

• 2nd Stop

  Curia Julia

  The Curia Julia was the Roman Senate House in ancient Rome, established by Julius Caesar in 44 BCE to replace the earlier Curia Hostilia. It is one of the earliest buildings erected in the Forum and served as the primary meeting place for the Roman Senate.

• 3rd Stop

  Temple of Venus and Roma

  The Temple of Venus and Roma is regarded as one of the largest temples in ancient Rome. Constructed in 135 AD under Emperor Hadrian, it was dedicated to the goddesses Venus Felix ("Venus the Bringer of Good Fortune") and Roma Aeterna ("Eternal Rome").

• 4th Stop

  Forum of Caesar

  The Forum of Caesar, constructed by Julius Caesar in 46 BCE as an extension of the ancient Roman Forum, features the ancient ruins of several significant structures. Here, you can explore the remains of the Temple of Caesar, the Temple of Venus Genetrix, the Basilica Argentaria, the Altar of Caesar, and more.

• 5th Stop

  I Rostri

  The Rostra was the platform where orators addressed the public in ancient Rome. Although the project was initiated by Caesar, it was completed in 42 BCE by Emperor Augustus.

• 6th Stop

  Basilica Julia

  The Basilica Julia was constructed on the site of the earlier Basilica Sempronia, along the southern side of the Roman Forum. Initiated by Julius Caesar in 46 BCE, it was completed by Emperor Augustus, who named the building in honor of his adoptive father.

• 7th Stop

  Area Sacra di Largo Argentina

  Largo di Torre Argentina is the precise location where Julius Caesar was assassinated by members of the Roman Senate in 44 BCE.

• 8th Stop

  Campo de' Fiori

  Your tour will conclude at the historic Campo de' Fiori square in the heart of Rome.
