  Murano

  Burano, a vibrant island in the Venetian Lagoon, is renowned for its brightly colored houses and its centuries-old lace-making tradition. Burano greets visitors with a kaleidoscope of colorful facades lining its canals, each house painted in vivid hues that locals say help fishermen spot their homes from the water. The island is also famous for its fine lace, an art form preserved by skilled artisans for generations.

  Torcello

  Torcello, one of the oldest inhabited islands in the Venetian Lagoon, offers a quiet and historical escape into Venice’s distant past. Known as the cradle of Venetian civilization, Torcello was a thriving settlement long before Venice itself rose to prominence, and today it remains a peaceful, almost rural island with an enchanting, timeless atmosphere. The main draw is the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in 639 AD, which houses stunning Byzantine mosaics, including an impressive depiction of the Last Judgment. Visitors can also see the iconic stone "Throne of Attila" and the Ponte del Diavolo (Devil's Bridge), both wrapped in local legend.
